Peter Facinelli Talks New Moon

Ten years ago a fresh faced Peter Facinelli splashed onscreen in the teen comedy Can’t Hardly Wait alongside Party of Five saintly star Jennifer Love Hewitt and Family Guy funnyman Seth Green.

Quickly becoming a teen idol and the desire of millions of young adults, Peter went on to more television shows and movies that showcased his talents.

Facinelli began his career in comedy and throughout the years he has been slowly moving to the darker roles that prepared him to play the patriarch of the most famous Vampire family.

In 2002, Facinelli scored the lead in Fastlane created by McG next to Beverly Hills, 90210 vixen Tiffani Thiessen and comedian Bill Bellamy, but sadly after only 22 wonderful episode, production ended. Peter jumped back and forth from television to film. Throughout time Facinelli moved on to play darker more serious characters on the HBO hit Six Feet Under, Damages and most notably playing Carlisle Cullen in Twilight.

Twilight is with a doubt the hottest film to hit the big screen and we are thankful that they cast Peter Facinelli as the caring and loyal Carlisle Cullen. The father of three is able to bring his compassion alive on screen; his years at the Atlantic Theater Company Acting School give Peter the confidence that Carlisle demands and balance that Peter carries throughout his daily life is emulated through Carlisle. PopStar got down to business with Peter Facinelli and asked all the questions that have been weighing on your mind.

Peter Facinelli, 36, plays Carlisle Cullen, the leader and patriarch of the Cullen family in the film adaption of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight Saga. Peter and Carlisle are very similar in that they are very confident individuals that have immense compassion and respect for their family and friends. This past November, Peter Facinelli, brought the 350 year old Carlisle Cullen out of the pages of Meyer’s book and onto the big screen for all of us to enjoy.

In the next coming weeks Peter will have to depart from Los Angles and head into Vampire and Werewolf country to begin filming New Moon, the second film in the Twilight Saga. Although Peter’s role is lighter in the second book, it does not stop his enthusiasm and joy for the upcoming project. PopStar spoke with the compassionate actor, who was quick to talk about his thoughts on New Moon, the Cullen family and how he balances super-stardom and parenthood.
Peter Facinelli Interview

PopStar: New Moon begins filming in a couple of weeks. What are you most looking forward to?
Peter Facinelli: In general, the second book, New Moon, is really interesting because of the way it delves into the American Indians part of Jacob’s story. It has a lot more special effects with the werewolves; I am excited to see how that all comes out. I am also excited that Chris Weitz will be building this world.

PopStar: You play Carlisle, the patriarch of the Cullen family. What can we expect to see from Carlisle in New Moon?
Peter Facinelli: The Cullen family does not have much to do in the second book but there are important scenes. The beginning part is what really launches the Cullen family into hiding because Jasper basically attacks Bella and we realize that it might be too dangerous for her, so we pack up our bags and head out of town. That launches Bella’s journey with Jacob and how she finds out about his side of the family. The vote at the end is pretty important as well because they vote on whether Bella will become part of the family as a vampire or not. Those two things are very crucial; there is not much but it is important. I have a really nice scene with Bella where I am stitching up her finger and we are talking about how Carlisle feels about vampires and how it differs from Edward.

PopStar: In Twilight, we got a little bit of back story on Carlisle. Do you think that we will learn much more about him and his family in New Moon?
Peter Facinelli: I don’t know. I really think that this film touches more upon the Native American Indians, Bella’s relationship with Jacob and her yearning for Edward. So I don’t know how much of that will play into New Moon. In the third book, I know it goes a lot into the family history. I am excited to film the third book as well because the third book has lot to do with the Cullen Family.

PopStar: Can you identify at all with your character Carlisle?
Peter Facinelli: Yes, there are certain parts of Carlisle that I identify with. Him being the patriarch of the family and him having these kids he looks after. I like to think that I have a lot of compassion for my family and other humans, which Carlisle has. The things that differ for me is I had to figure out how to bring 350 years of knowledge to the screen. He is a guy who has a lot of wisdom and power in movements.

PopStar: Carlisle is very caring and nurturing in the books but who would you say is the caretaker on set?
Peter Facinelli: That is a tough one because they are all such great people. We all care about each other a lot. It really is like a family on and off the set.

PopStar: Last year while filming Twilight, some fans would show up on set. Do you think fans will show up to the New Moon set and if so what are your thoughts?
Peter Facinelli: Probably. We had a little bit of that on the first one and the movie was not even released yet so I can’t imagine, I am sure they will beef up the security for the second one. For the first one we had a lot of fans come out and they were very respectful but again I cannot imagine what the second one will be like. It’s not like they will be stealing any plot points, if you want any you can just read the book. Some movies are secretive where they don’t want to give away any spoilers but this is based on a book and we want to keep it close to the book. People just want to see the book put onscreen and there really are not spoilers to be had.

PopStar: Probably the most crucial question ever asked. Do you think that Bella made the right decision picking Edward over Jacob?
Peter Facinelli: That is a tough one. As a reader I was torn, but looking on as Carlisle, I am happy that she did pick our family. She gave up a lot in order to become one of us but she got back a lot. What she got in return was eternal love, so you can’t really beat that.

PopStar: I have seen your name on many Twilight conventions guest lists. Have you ever done conventions before? Are you excited to connect with the fans?
Peter Facinelli: I have never done one and I did my first about a week ago and I am going to do another one in San Francisco and England. The fans have been so great, I feel like it is nice to be able to give back and show up and show our appreciation to the fans. They have all been so respectful, nice and happy!

PopStar: You have a new show coming out on Showtime called Nurse Jackie. Can you tell us a little bit about the show and the character you will be playing?
Peter Facinelli: It’s a Showtime series called Nurse Jackie staring Edie Falco. It’s a half hour dramedy and I play Doctor Cooper. So I am playing another doctor role but this doctor is quite different. He has a lot of complexity about him in the sense that he is very cool and confident on the outside and on the inside he is a bundle of nerves. He is very opposite of Carlisle. Carlisle always remain calm, he’s seen it all, been there and done it all and has super confidence about him. The character I play in Nurse Jackie is very different.

: You have three beautiful daughters, a TV star wife, and your starring in one of the biggest movie franchise of the 21st century. How do you balance all of this?
Peter Facinelli: Well I’m at my daughter’s soccer field with one foot on the ball and I’m on my cellphone talking to you. It’s a little bit of a balance but I find time for both. I’m a big believer in quality with the family and doing stuff with them. Sometimes I might be away for a couple of weeks but when I do come home I am there for concentrated periods of time and we do some great things together.

PopStar: Which is your favorite Twilight book?
Peter Facinelli: I am one of the biggest fans of the books. I like Eclipse because it has a lot of action in it. Twilight is a close second because it gave such a great setup to this world but Eclipse has a lot of back story on the family and I am excited to shoot the third one. The fourth one is really interesting too!

PopStar: Message to the fans.
Peter Facinelli: I have been overwhelmed by the support I have gotten on this film. I hope they continue their support for the rest of the films and we are hoping to make good movies that they enjoy.

Movies Online Interview With Dakota Fanning

MoviesOnline caught up again yesterday with Dakota Fanning at the Los Angeles press day for her new movie, “Coraline,” and asked her if she had any more news on her upcoming role in the Twilight sequel, “New Moon.” Dakota is a fabulous person and we really appreciated her time. Here’s what she had to tell us:

MoviesOnline: Speaking of roles, can you talk a little bit about Twilight and the reports that you’ve signed on for New Moon? Have you sealed the deal yet?

Dakota: It’s not 100% yet set in stone but it’s definitely not like totally untrue or a rumor or anything. It’s definitely a possibility and I think it would be really, really fun to be a part of. I’m a big fan of the cast and to join them would be a really great honor and I really hope that it works out and I hope I can give you a definite answer soon.

MoviesOnline: What is it about it that you’re looking forward to most?

Dakota: I think just playing an evil vampire. That’s really cool. So, if I got to do it, that would be probably the most fun part.

MoviesOnline: When you consider roles like Cassie in “Push,” or Coraline, and now Jane in “New Moon,” is there a common theme or something that attracts you to all of them? Is it the complexity of the character or the opportunity to grow as an actor?

Dakota: I think that they’re just different from each other and they’re different kinds of films and, you know, I like to kind of always keep myself on the edge of my seat of what I’m going to do next and do something that I’ve never done before and something that maybe I’ve always wanted to do. I think it’s hard to say how you plan out what you want to do. I think you just know it when it comes to you.

MoviesOnline: Has there been a role you’ve read in the scripts you’re being sent now that you wanted to do but maybe your mom thought was a little too old for you?

Dakota: No, there hasn’t been so far.

MoviesOnline: Are you picking roles that are appropriate for your age or are you trying to pick ones that are older?

Dakota: No. I mean, I think that everything that I’ve kind of been drawn to has been appropriate and I’ve never had an argument with my mom about it or anything. We’re always on the same page.

MoviesOnline: And that would apply to the Twilight sequel, “New Moon”?

Dakota: Yes, it would. Yeah.

MoviesOnline: You seem to be transitioning so easily from being a child actor to being a young adult actress. Why do you think that has happened so easily for you?

Dakota: I think if you really want it badly enough and you really want it for yourself, it’s you wanting it, I think that you’ll be able to do it. And for me, I don’t think you can take it too seriously either and too technically, like “Oh my God, I’m going to transition from this month to this month and I’m going to do this movie.” I think what you’re drawn to, like the things that I’m drawn to, reflect the age I am and the maturity that I have, and I think that you just have to be very natural about it. I really want this so badly and I want to do this forever and I think that’s why I’m able to keep going because I just never want to stop. I don’t ever see myself not doing this.

MTV: Dakota Fanning Talks New Moon, Robert Pattinson

With two films opening next weekend, Dakota Fanning’s life is pretty crazy these days. And as soon as she signs on the “Twilight” dotted line, she knows it’s going to get even more insane.

“I know that a lot of people know about it,” the soon-to-be-15-year-old star of “Push” and “Coraline” told MTV News on Friday (January 30), referring to her ongoing negotiations to join “New Moon” as Jane. “I’m glad that people are excited about me possibly being in it. That’s so nice!”

What’s nice for Twilighters is the thought of the critically praised child star bringing her considerable talents to their beloved franchise — a deal that she told us was looking quite good at the moment. “I wouldn’t say it’s 100 percent, but it’s definitely, obviously a possibility and something that would be really cool,” exclaimed the star of such blockbusters as “War of the Worlds” and “Man of Fire.” “I really hope it works out.”

The high-profile sequel would mark a huge departure from Fanning’s typical roles, casting her as a sadistic Volturi guard who has the power to inflict immense pain on those who cross her. “It’s definitely something that I look forward to,” she said. “I think you have to do all kinds [of roles], and eventually I am going to be the person you hate in a movie. And that’s the fun thing about acting: You can be sweet and be mean at the same time in different films.”

Explaining why she’d be a good fit for Jane, Dakota added: “We’re both pale. … I don’t think they’d have to put a lot of makeup on me if it works out. I’m pretty pale as it is.”

Fanning also revealed that while she hasn’t read all of Stephenie Meyer’s novels yet, it is her love for Catherine Hardwicke’s film that makes her want to join “New Moon” and take her own character into the franchise’s future movies. “I haven’t read all of them,” she explained. “But I have seen the film, and I’m a very big fan of the cast. I love all of them. I would look forward to getting to work with them.”

And, naturally, since Dakota is a teenage female, we couldn’t resist asking the obvious question: If the actress shot a scene opposite heartthrob Robert Pattinson, could she keep herself under control?

“He is very, very cute,” she giggled. “But I’m sure I would be.

“The part that I play gets to interact with a lot of the characters, so that would be cool,” Fanning added. “[The Volturi] are kind of mean. I think it would be definitely a different part than I’ve ever played — and I’d get to be a little evil for once.”

EW.com: Twilight Stars Talk New Moon

Summit Entertainment’s newest film, Push — starring Dakota Fanning (pictured) — may have been the main event at its premiere last night in Los Angeles. But the studio still trotted out several Twilight actors to walk the red carpet, and the upcoming sequel New Moon was definitely on everyone’s mind — including whether Fanning would slip on evil Jane’s fangs. “Dakota Fanning would be great as Jane,” said Ashley Green (goodie vamp Alice Cullen). “I really hope that rumor becomes reality.” Fanning, however, said she wasn’t quite ready to bite. “I think it is too soon to say for sure whether I will or won’t be in [New Moon],” she told EW.com. “But it would be really cool to do it. I am a very big fan of the books. I read them all and Jane is an interesting part. We haven’t really sat down and talked about it. So we will see. It was a good experience working with Summit. I guess I now have an in at the company.”

Meanwhile, Kellan Lutz (Emmett Cullen) told EW.com that much like future werewolf Taylor Lautner, he’s been hitting the gym in preparation for the April shoot. “Bring on the wolves,” grinned Lutz. “Emmett can take ’em.” Lutz also says he’s read the New Moon script, and it’s “amazing.” Fellow Cullen clan member Greene also said she’d just gotten her hands on the script. “I felt like a spy reading it,” she said. “It does come very close to the tone and the events that are in book 2. There are a couple of things that were changed which I think make it more interesting for the visual medium but nothing that will upset fans of the books. I think it is safe to say that it will make everyone happy.”

Perhaps there’s a little Cullen clan favoritism going on at Summit, however, since actors Rachelle Lefevre and Edi Gathegi — i.e. members of the Bella-and-Edward-hating vamp clan — both said they hadn’t seen the New Moon screenplay yet. “They are guarding the script like it is gold,” said Lefevre, who added she’s already planning how to get into the mindset of the vengeful Victoria: “I have to figure out how to channel that much hatred and grief healthily because that is a pretty dark place to go.” There may be another reason, meanwhile, that Gathegi’s in the dark on New Moon: He recently told producers he’d signed on for a spring Broadway production of the August Wilson play Joe Turner’s Come and Gone. “When I told [Summit] I was going to the stage,” said Gathegi, “they said, ‘No you’re not. We need you.’ And I said, ‘Cool. Let’s try to do both.’ We start the play in February and go until June. They are in, like, day 3 of negotiations to figure out if I can do both.” But don’t worry; Gathegi says he’s committed to playing Laurent. “Worst case scenario,” he says, “I get to hang out with my vamp friends and be in what is destined to be a huge movie released [on] Nov. 20.”

MSNBC: Twilight Stars Spill New Moon Details

Good news for Twi-hards; judging by the tips “Twilight” stars Ashley Greene and Kellen Lutz shared with Access Hollywood about “New Moon” on Thursday night, it sounds like the second installment in the series will remain faithful to Stephenie Meyer’s book.

“I can tell you there’s a yellow Porsche,” Greene revealed at the premiere of Dakota Fanning’s “Push,” confirming that the vehicle, which plays a special role in the “New Moon” book, will be in the movie.

“I can tell you there’s werewolves,” she added coyly. “I think (the details of ‘New Moon’ script are) kind of highly under wraps.”

Greene, who plays Alice Cullen, the sister of Edward Cullen, Robert Pattinson’s character, is expected to return alongside Lutz, who plays older brother Emmett Cullen.

“We are both confirmed to be a part of it,” he said before retracting only slightly. “I’m still waiting — crossing fingers.”

Both actors said they are thrilled over the return of Taylor Lautner, who plays Jacob Black, a young man/werewolf (and the best friend of Kristen Stewart’s Bella Swan), to the franchise.

“I’m so proud of him,” Lutz said of the recent bulk-up Lautner underwent to secure his role in “New Moon.”

But one of their co-stars, Edi Gathegi, who plays Laurent, an old-school style vampire in the series, said he actually said he saw Lautner’s transformation as it happened.

“I actually worked out with him,” Gathegi revealed to Access last night. “We were working out in Australia together and working out across the country, so I saw it happening. I was there on the front lines. He was a little shrimp and he’s somewhat of a man now.”

Gathegi who will appear in “New Moon,” told Access the film would begin shooting in early spring.

“We start shooting in March in Vancouver and in Italy,” he said.

People: Dakota Fanning Says Twilight Sequel is “Definitely a possibility”

It’s (almost!) official: Dakota Fanning may soon be joining the Twilight cast as a villainous vampire.

“It’s not 100 percent yet set in stone but it’s definitely not totally untrue or a rumor,” the actress, 14, said about her role in the film’s sequel New Moon while promoting her upcoming animated film Coraline Friday in Los Angeles. “It’s definitely a possibility and I think it would be really, really fun to be a part of.”

Fanning, according to a previous report, will join the film’s returning stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner onscreen to play Jane, a petite yet powerful vampire able to inflict pain.

“I think just playing an evil vampire is really cool,” she says. “If I got to do [New Moon], that’d probably be the most fun part.”

As for her future costars, “I’m a big fan of the cast. To join it would be a really great honor and I really hope that it works out,” she says.

Home Media Magazine: Camping Out for Twilight

Actor Edi Gathegi, one of the vampires in Summit Entertainment’s hit Twilight, knows what he’ll be doing Friday night, March 20.

“I’m gonna be there at midnight with everyone else waiting for the DVD,” Gathegi said at Summit’s Push premiere party Jan. 29. “We’re gonna make it an old-fashioned slumber party … I think it’s genius what Summit is doing. A large part of our audience is teenagers, and every one of them will be there.”

In a nod to those repeat, young, female viewers who helped Twilight bring in $185 million at the domestic box office ($324 million worldwide), Summit will be making an event out of its DVD and Blu-ray Disc releases of the film, with midnight release parties nationwide.

“There wasn’t a lot in the way of history to compare with on how Twilight would perform at the box office,” said Steve Nickerson, president of Summit Home Entertainment, pointing to Mean Girls and Sex and the City as the only comparable gauges. “With the DVD, we knew if we stuck with a Tuesday we knew there were going to be fans who couldn’t get it right when it was available. We said we had to do a Saturday (March 21) release date.”

Nickerson added that a bare bones, single-DVD version is meant for rental, with the two-disc special edition ($32.99) packed with bonus features to appeal to the repeat viewers.

Sharp-eyed fans of the movie will notice that some of the special effects have been beefed up and retouched just for the DVD and Blu-ray releases.

Extras include extended and deleted scenes, music videos, a commentary, a Comic-Con featurette, and a seven-part making-of documentary. Bonuses— such as a cell phone skin — will vary depending on the retailer.

The Blu-ray Disc version comes to retail at $34.99, and will be available only at Best Buy and Target on the release date, Nickerson noted. All retailers will have access to the Blu-ray on May 5, he said.

“We had to focus on content they hadn’t seen,” Nickerson said of the bonus features, adding that gift set verions would appear as well. “All of the different value-added material is very fan specific. Fans of [novelist] Stephenie Meyer will find new things, and those who’ve never read the books will want to.”

Nickerson said Summit is letting retailers decide how they want to bow the release, but the studio is working with individual retailers on ideas for midnight parties. The current Twilight Web site will feature a store locator for fans looking to pick up their copy at 12:01 a.m.

“Every department store, Target, Best Buy, Wal-Mart, is having a different (promotion) and different versions of the DVD (slipcovers),” said Twilight actor Kellan Lutz. “I can’t wait to see how it works out. It’s brilliant what Summit has decided to do with it.”

TheImproper.com: Robert Pattinson: I’m realy not that interesting.

Twilight heartthrob Robert Pattinson is the object of obsession for millions of young fans around the globe, but the modest actor doesn’t understand all the hype.

“Honestly, I’m not that interesting,” says Rob, 22. In his spare time, he prefers low-key activities to going out. “I watch movies, I read, I play all kinds of music.”

Pattinson, who plays the guitar and piano and composes music, has been relaxing in his hometown of London since Dec. 22, where he has been spotted playing small gigs on the local music scene.

In March, Rob’s free time will disappear, when he starts shooting New Moon, the sequel to Twilight. New Moon will be filmed in Vancouver and Italy, and will be produced on an aggressive schedule, shooting back-to-back with Eclipse, the third installment in the Twi book series.

Since Twilight morphed into a box-office juggernaut, Rob has become one of the most sought-after young actors in Hollywood—a role the private British hunk is not altogether comfortable with.

“I’ve been getting recognized since the day I finished shooting [Twilight],” he says. “It’s crazy. In L.A., someone spots me almost every single day.” The paparazzi’s sudden obsession with Rob is part of the reason he prefers hanging out in London when he’s not working. There, Rob is much less of a paparazzi target than in the U.S., where his fan base has grown enormously over the past few months.

“I’ve been uncomfortable in crowds my whole life,” he says. “I’ve always felt that everyone is looking at me,” he laughs. “I could be in a supermarket and have a full-on panic attack when there’s no one else there. And this was even like five years ago, when nobody knew who I was!”

Hollywood superstardom is something the single Rob will have to get used to for at least the next few years, when the Twilight machine continues to rage on. Meanwhile, the 6’1″ heartthrob has other projects he’ll be promoting. On March 27, his indie flick Little Ashes (which he did before Twilight) will debut in theaters. In the artsy film, Pattinson portrays the eccentric Spanish surrealist painter Salvador Dali–just the kind of meaty role he relishes.

Rob, who is very serious about being a good actor, may one day branch out with his own production company. Pattinson, who has already written several scripts, is leery of the money-obsessed Hollywood film industry.

“I don’t like the way the film industry is,” he says. “If you come with a good script and then it goes to the studios and gets financing, it all gets changed because they want to make money. And it’s like, how do you know if it’s going to make money or not? All you’re doing is making it generic when you do that, and making it generic is no guarantee that it’s going to make money, either.”

Given Rob’s talent and increasing star power, it’s foreseeable he may one day be able to make the kinds of films he envisions. “The only way to [do] that is to take risks,” he says. “And you need to be able to trust people. So you get a company together with people you know are good and you know work hard and you can make good stuff. That’s kind of what I want to do.”

Hollyscoop: Justin Timberlake, Rob Pattinson, Zac Efron to Star In New Movie

I don’t know about you guys, but this might be one of the most exciting things I’ve ever heard.

Girls of every age will automatically love this movie. We don’t even need to tell you the storyline yet. Because the hook is that Justin Timberlake, Rob Pattinson, and Zac Efron are all in the movie. That’s one smart casting director.

Rumor has it the three heartthrobs will be cast members in the upcoming movie Ohio, which is based on the 1970 murders of anti-Vietnam War protesters at Kent State University.

A little dark, no? The only one of those three we could definitely see in the movie is Rob Pattinson, thanks to Twilight. And maybe that’s what the casting director thought too. Because word on the street is that Rob’s been asked to play the lead role. Justin and Zac, who are definitely the bigger stars in the grand scheme of things, would play second fiddle to Rob.

An insider reports to Star magazine, “Everyone in the industry is shocked that Rob is already getting such big roles. Zac and Justin have been working for a lot longer than he has. There is a bit of jealousy there. Zac’s people want him to have the lead. And Justin’s people have asked that he get a lot of screen time.”

So it’s not just the actresses who get into catfights! Rob may have been around the block as many times as Zac, and certainly JT, but he definitely is the best actor of the three. Sometimes it’s not about the name either! There’s something about having a lesser-known actor playing a lead role sometimes that makes the movie more exciting and less predictable. We’ll just have to wait and see if Rob takes the lead, and if JT and Zac can put their pride aside to take the smaller roles for the sake of making a good movie!

Deadline Hollywood Daily: Kristen’s New Project?

s for Woods, who’s quite a handful, he’s producing and directing the feature An American Girl with Gersh client and Twilight star Kristen Stewart attached to star. “She said it was the best thing she’s ever read,” an insider told me. I hear that CAA’s Chris Andrews labored to get it made for Woods, but its Iraq element makes it difficult. In December, after Gersh’s Ken Kaplan set up a meeting between Woods and Stewart, Jimmy suddenly asked to be Kaplan’s client.

Native American Casting Scandal

There’s been a lot of controversy over the Native American Roles in Twilight lately. Here are some of the things being said:
Depiction of Indigenous Peoples in Twilight Outrage Native Americans
Don’t Blame Taylor Lautner

It is a bit odd that Sam Uley’s role is listed in the leaked New Moon Casting Calls since he was already in Twilight and played by Solomon Trimble. Twilighters Anonymous is having a Valentine’s Day contest.

Robert Pattinson blasts money obsessed Hollywood.

Robert Pattinson doesn’t like the film industry.

The 22-year-old actor – who plays hunky vampire Edward Cullen in the recent Twilight film and its upcoming sequel New Moon (tentative release date of November 20, 2009; and possibly starring Dakota Fanning!) – says he doesn’t like the way Hollywood is obsessed with money.

“I don’t like the way the film industry is,” says Pattinson. “If you come with a good script and then it goes to the studios and gets financing, it all gets changed because they want to make money.

“And it’s like, how do you know if it’s going to make money or not? All you’re doing is making it generic when you do that, and making it generic is no guarantee that it’s going to make money, either.

“The only way to [do] that is to take risks.

“And you need to be able to trust people. So you get a company together with people you know are good and you know work hard and you can make good stuff. That’s kind of what I want to do.”

Do Angelina and Rob Pattz get hit by the recession?

Per reports, both Robert Pattinson—you know, the vampire who sparkles when he gets trapped in the sun—and Kristen Stewart are getting megaraises for doing New Moon. They got a reported $2 million each for Twilight. They’re apparently getting $12 million each for the sequel.

PopEater Interview With Peter Facinelli

Peter’s expecting a new family member!

If ‘Twilight’ actor Peter Facinelli had to choose between attending an exclusive premiere or staying at home with his wife Jennie Garth and their three daughters, he’d pick the latter.
“I am not a big, ‘Look at me’ person, so I don’t go to a lot of premieres. I am more of a family guy who stays at home with my kids. I’m more known as being the soccer dad,” Facinelli exclusively told PopEater.
Family life is important for both Facinelli and Garth, who met in 1995 while filming the TV movie ‘An Unfinished Affair’ and married in 2001. The couple has three daughters together: Luca Bella (11), Lola Ray (6) and Fiona Eve (2).
Facinelli, who grew up with three sisters, is not fazed by living with a household of women again. “I have three little girls and one big girl,” he joked. “I have been surrounded by women my whole life. Yeah, there is a lot of estrogen in the house, but I enjoy it,” he said.
And there might be more children on the way. “Jennie tends to get her way, but it is a debate that’s going on right now,” he said. “Honestly, my wife wants a boy, [but] to me, it doesn’t matter. At first, I wanted a boy, but now I have three beautiful daughters, who are important to me,” Facinelli said.
“It’s two fold. When you’re a father, it’s extremely painful because every time they go out of the house, you worry about them. I can’t imagine having to worry about one more person because I am already worried enough… but that being said, never say never,” he added.

Rob Pattinson’s Acting Embarrassment

Robert Pattinson is “embarrassed” to admit he’s an actor.

The British star – who plays hunky vampire Edward Cullen in the recent Twilight film and its upcoming sequel New Moon (it has a tentative release date of November 20, 2009) – admits he lies about his profession in case people think he’s cheesy.

Pattinson explains, “Acting is something I’m very serious about, and that’s why I chose it

“[But] I’m still embarrassed to say I’m an actor because it’s kinda cheesy, so I prefer to say I do something else.

“I don’t like the word ‘acting’. I prefer the word ‘creating,’ because I want to build a character with an idea that turns into something that people will remember.

“In every job that I’ve done, I’ve put something of my life into it, I try to add my life into the movie. Every period of my life in which I’ve played a different character, I’ve been a different person.”

Taylor Lautner Beefs Up For New Moon

Taylor Lautner knows that he has big shoes to fill when he reprises his role as Jacob Black in the Twilight sequel New Moon.

The 16 year old actor steps in as a leading man in the upcoming movie that begins production in March 2009.

Taylor has been spending a lot of time and doing a lot of hard work to make sure that he fits the role.

Lautner admitted, “I’ve been working hard for eight or nine months.”

Not that long ago, Lautner was just a run of the mill teen, but since he started training at the gym, he’s credited his hard work to gaining “26 pounds of muscle.”

It comes as no surprise that Taylor Lautner didn’t want to give up the role of Jacob in New Moon. Of his character, Taylor told M magazine, “He gets more in-depth in the rest of the Twilight series – when he turns into a werewolf, he has two separate personalities. When he’s himself, he’s this nice, outgoing guy who Bella loves, but then he gets very intense.”

Taylor is no stranger to hard work and physical fitness. He admitted that martial arts have been his secret passion since he was a young boy.

Lautner said, “I started when I was six and took it very seriously, training for hours each week. But when I turned 13, I realized that acting was what I really wanted to do. I miss it, and when I have time, I train at my house to keep up the skill.”

Camps are already split on whether or not Taylor Lautner will one-up Robert Pattinson, who plays the part of Edward Cullen in Twilight and New Moon. Taylor steps in as a lead character in the sequel and could give RPattz a run for his money when he takes the spotlight.

Revealing Rob Pattinson Photos Surface Online

Twilight fans have wanted more of Robert Pattinson — and now they’ve got it! Shirtless pictures from the actor’s past
as a teen model have surfaced. “He was painfully shy and incredibly polite,” photographer John-Paul Pietrus, who shot Robert in 2003 for a spread that’s appeared in the South China Morning Post magazine, tells
Life & Style. “He was a bit nervous too because I had him in some pictures with a girl. The shoot was based on swimwear from the 1930s. He had his shirt off, so some skin might have made him nervous.”

The MTV staff unwraps Edward Dolls

This article has a video MTV staffers unwrapping the dolls, as well as 5 reasons the love the plastic version of Rob/Edward.

1.) He looks so stylish wearing Edward’s trademark grey wool coat, dark denim jeans, and t-shirt.

2.) He came with shoes and socks, because we all know vampires and dolls need socks. But would Edward really need socks since he’s “cold” all the time doesn’t really sweat? Point to ponder.

3.) He would never go on a date with Barbie.

4.) He’d totally kick Ken’s ass in a fight.

5.) He resembles Robert Pattinson, and anything that resembles Robert Pattinson is going to be awesome.

Sundance Interview With Kristen Stewart

There’s an awesome Kristen interview on Cinemablend.com. It’s too long to post here, so go read it!

MediaBlvd Magazine has an interview with Sarah Clarke (Renee)

She talks about her new show and about New Moon.

MediaBlvd> You’ve been involved with two high-profile projects, with 24 and Twilight. Do you get fans from both, or is Twilight overshadowing everything now?

Sarah> It’s a totally different fan base, in each case. With Twilight, people are so obsessed with that book, and they really want to know the ins and outs of what people think. Just going onto the first book, I couldn’t say anything about what’s going to happen next. I’ve just read New Moon, so I’m just now getting familiar with it. I would say it’s completely different groups of fans. With 24, I get very technical questions about the ins and outs of the CIA and anti-terrorist work. With Twilight, they ask, “Do you like werewolves or vampires?”

MediaBlvd> What are the Twilight fans like?

Sarah> There are a lot of little girls, and then there are the women that have this love affair with this vampire that they want to know about. But, being the mom, I get a little less of that than Robert Pattinson gets.

It’s a pretty long article, so make sure to read the rest!

Ace Showbiz has an article about Rob being homesick.

British movie star Robert Pattinson says being away from his native U.K., due to his work commitment, leads him to feel home sick that he once wanted to cry. “I miss the smell of London … I almost cried because I missed it so much. And I miss my dog [Patty, a female West Highland white terrier],” so he reveals, adding, “I miss being able to go for a walk.”

Speaking of his current residence, Pattinson says he stays in Los Angeles, but has not yet decided to permanently settle in the city. “I haven’t moved to L.A. for good. I live in a rented apartment where all of the furniture is rented,” he openly admits.

Prior to his starring role as Edward Cullen in hit vampire flick “Twilight,” Robert Pattinson is known for portraying the character of Cedric Diggory in “Harry Potter” films. Despite his worldwide fame, he recently revealed popularity doesn’t change him. He insisted, “I live the same exact life as before; I have the same friends and the same preferences. I haven’t changed at all”.

Peter Talks To Popeater About Dakota

Even though actor Peter Facinelli, who plays Dr. Carlisle Cullen in ‘Twilight,’ admits he hasn’t been keeping up with all the ‘New Moon’ rumors, he is excited to hear that Dakota Fanning might be joining the cast as vampire Jane. “She is a phenomenal actress… [The role of Jane] would be great for her,” Facinelli exclusively told PopEater.
“I always think of her as this 12-year-old girl, but she is older now. What is she like 16 now?” he joked.
Fanning, who turns 15 in February, is in talks to play bloodsucker Jane opposite Robert Pattinson in ‘New Moon.’ The character of Jane is described in casting docs as a terrifying petite blond with a “Botticelli angel-like face… [and] crimson irises.”
According to reports, there were no auditions and the part was just handed to Fanning. Facinelli believes she will make a great addition to the cast and bring something new to the movie.
“I have been very fortunate to work with great people. The [‘Twilight’] cast is really great. We are like a family,” Facinelli said. “[During filming] I took on the father figure role, and they were all my kids. I love all of them,” he added.

The Daily Beast: Breakout Stars of 2009–Taylor and Cam made the list!

Cam Gigandet:
Some teen-TV fans may remember Cam as the guest character on The O.C. responsible for killing off Mischa Barton, but he’s going to be known for much more than Marissa-cide after this year. Cam has a whopping seven movies in production for 2009—and those are just the ones that have been officially announced. After his breakout role as a pale vampire in last fall’s Twilight, Cam will appear in Pandorum (a thriller about a spaceship with Dennis Quaid), Five Star Day (a coming of age story with Jena Malone), and Kid Cannabis, among others.

Taylor Lautner:
After originating the role of Jacob Black in the original crazy successful teen-vampires-stare-and-brood Twilight, there was talk Taylor Lautner wouldn’t be cast in the sequel. Fortunately, the director was convinced and Lautner is bulking up to play the older role in the follow-up New Moon, which will be rushed into theaters this November. Robert Pattinson, watch your back. Teen girls, get your screaming pipes ready.

The Twilight Lexicon Clears up some more casting rumors.

Kristen Stewart to present Oscar?

There is talk that Kristen will be presenting at the Academy Awards.
the show’s producers have decided to keep the identity of the remaining presenters under wraps this season–but not for too long! We hear from inside sources (take note, designers!) that the calls went out to Keira Knightley, Kate Beckinsale, Reese Withersoon, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kristen Stewart, and Jennifer Aniston.

Taylor Lautner talks about New Moon

Now that Taylor Lautner has been confirmed for “New Moon,” I went back to my notes from my interview with the young star from the “Twilight” junket last fall in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Lautner plays Jacob Black, pal of heroine Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), in “Twilight.” In the second book, “New Moon,” Jacob begins turning into a werewolf. The transformation puts Bella between two loyalties: her boyfriend, Edward (Robert Pattinson) is a vampire, and vampires and werewolves are enemies.

Chris Weitz, who is directing the film version of “New Moon,” recently tapped Lautner for the sequel, after determining that the teen star would be convincing in the role. In “New Moon,” Jacob grows bigger and stronger as he transforms into werewolf. Lautner has been bulking up for months in preparation to play Jacob in the sequel.

“Jacob’s character gets so cool. It is so more in-depth in the rest of the series. When he turns into a werewolf it is like he has two separate personalities. When he’s himself he’s this nice outgoing guy and when he goes werewolf on you he’s super intense and Bella’s just blown away like ‘what is with this freak now,’” Lautner said in the interview.

Lautner said he was unfamiliar with Stephenie Meyer’s mega-best-selling “Twilight” books until he tried out for the role.

“I had not even heard about ‘Twilight’ until I auditioned for it and then as soon as I was cast I was like, what am I getting myself into? I was blown away and so incredibly excited,” he said.

Lautner received a great deal of support from “Twilight” fans, which undoubtedly helped him keep the role. Now, the excitement continues for the young star – and the fans who love him as Jacob.

New Moon Production Weekly–From A Twilight Mom

All is not well between demon-magnet Bella and Edward Cullen, her vampire Romeo. An innocent papercut at Edward’s house puts Bella in grave danger when various members of the Cullen family can barely resist their hunger at the smell of blood. The Cullens promptly leave town, afraid of endangering Edward’s beloved, and Bella sinks into an overwhelming depression. Months later, she finally emerges from her funk to rebuild her life, focusing on her friendship with besotted teen Jacob from the reservation. Bella’s unhealthy enthrallment to Edward leads her into dangerous and self-destructive behavior despite her new friends, and supernatural complications are bound to reappear. Bella’s being hunted by an evil vampire, and Jacob’s adolescent male rage turns out to be incipient lycanthropy: It seems many Quileute Indians become werewolves in thepresence of vampires, their natural enemies.
